VIOLENCE NEVER A SOLUTION!
Sir,
Allow me to breathe peace and talk some sense to some confused souls. Good people, I should say that nowadays we have seemingly forgotten that we’re all human, we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord despite the differences in gender. I must say most of us have lost morals and principles and I fear God has done more than enough to forgive us. Back in the day, peace and stability were on everyone’s minds, but these days violence has been made one of the common ways of interaction. What went wrong?
Touching
If one can make a follow up on our daily news, it is so touching how women are turned into punching bags and killed by those they love. As far as I understand the definition of love and affection, I see what’s happening as the opposite of what love is. If you say you love her, then why hurt her? If she makes you happy, why are you killing her? When she is gone, who else will make you happy and understand you like she did? I still fail to answer some questions pertaining this issue. It pains me when I read newspapers and come across stories about women dying under the name of love. Well, maybe we love too much and we forget that we should love ourselves first. Maybe we give our all to our partners rather giving our all to God.
Wrong
It hit me hard one day when my girlfriend said that we open too much to wrong people and we move too fast in loving the wrong people. I might say that right and responsible people are just folding arms watching while our sisters and mothers are dying helplessly. I just wonder how verdicts of some murder cases are narrowed and those of housebreakings and theft are made so major.
Each and every night when I go to bed I think of women who are screaming loudly, crying for help. Some voices are saying we have had more than enough, some saying we owe men nothing and some saying can we go back to the old days where a male was a man, a father and a husband, not a perpetrator of violence. I fear God will curse us all, especially all irresponsible men. I am pretty sure that God is never blind to see tears of a praying woman; he is never deaf to hear prayers and screams of thousands of tortured woman. My mother once told me that nothing is stronger than a woman’s prayer. So I just wonder what would happen to all cruel men. Men let us all say no to gender-based violence.
