MOSES SETTING UP THE SERPENT AGAIN
Sir,
Allow me to save the emaSwati through this revelation. I wish I could save the whole of Africa through your medium, but I am afraid that is not even possible. The intent of this letter is to reconnect the people to their source.
When God created animals, He spoke to the sea. When creating the fish and all the beasts of the sea, He spoke to the sea; but when He created humans, He spoke to Himself. God, then, is our source; we are the resource, and when humans disconnect from the source, they surely die. This happens when you remove a fish from the sea or a plant from the ground. In the Garden of Eden, God created animals from the ground, and He said that this is good. A serpent is also included among these animals. We find this in Genesis 1, verse 24. In the very same Garden of Eden, God cursed the serpent for deceiving the woman, Eve, into eating from the tree that God commanded them not to. This was committing sin before the Lord (Genesis 3, verse 14). Many of us, if not all, have concluded that God hates the snake for such a sinful act.
In the wilderness now
When the Israelites sinned before the Lord, God’s wrath caused Him to allow poisonous snakes to attack them. The poisonous snakes, or should I say serpents, killed innumerable Israelites until they repented and told Moses to pray to God to take away the serpents from them, and so Moses did.
Here is the miracle
In response, God ordered Moses to create a fiery serpent and set it up on a pole; whosoever looks at the fiery serpent shall live. He will be saved. Unfortunately, some Israelites continued to perish due to the fact that they thought God could never use a serpent to save them. Out of all the animals in the world, He really cannot use a serpent; plus, He is the one who cursed it in the Garden of Eden in the first place. They did not believe the word; they did not look up to the fiery serpent, and they died.
Oppressors now missionaries
The people who were oppressors yesterday are missionaries today here in Africa. They are spreading the good news about the Messiah, Jesus Christ. They are truly devoted, and they even invest to ensure that nobody dies without knowing the truth or without knowing the Saviour, Jesus Christ. I am talking about the very same people who enslaved us, tortured us, brutally killed us, forced us to work in their farmlands, yoked us like donkeys, discriminated against us, and abused us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In fact, they oppressed us in every way possible.
Here is the gist of the story
The Israelites saw a fiery serpent as their enemy, which should be God’s enemy too, and did not look at it, so they perished. The million-dollar question is: Are we going to look at skin colour, or will we simply see the messengers of the Lord and accept the Lord in our hearts? Believe me, this is Moses in the wilderness setting up the fiery snake again. Let us take the cross and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour so that we can be saved. I know this is a bitter pill to swallow, but believe me, this will save our souls. Moreover, God indeed cursed the snake, but that does not necessarily mean He hates it. It is His creation; He loves it. I mentioned earlier that after creating it, He said, ‘This is good’. Plus, He went on to say, “Be wise as a serpent” in Matthew 10, verse 16. In fact, God is the one who gave the snake that wisdom in the first place, so how can He not love it?
God loves us all
God loves us; He loves His creation. We are made in His image, which makes us more valuable and important. Whether black or white, God loves you. He is the source; we are the resource. Let us return to the source lest we die in vain. We have suffered here on earth as black people for so long. We cannot suffer again in hell when we pass from this world. May the living God navigate and restore us to His kingdom as we make the decision in our hearts to return to Him.
