ECHOES OF MY PAST

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

I grew up beneath a quiet sky,
Where memories bloom, yet shadows lie.

In rooms once filled with laughter’s tone, I felt the warmth, yet walked alone.

There is a piece of me still living there, In every whispered breath of air.

In walls that hold the joy and tears,
In echoes of forgotten years.

Pulled away, I have had to roam,
But part of me still calls it home.

Though paths have changed and time has flown,
That house, that place, is flesh and bone.

My heart aches soft for what I knew,
The good, the hard — the tangled truth.

And though I wander far and wide, I hold that place deep inside.
