Christians don't have to worry about what to eat
Sir,
I wish to thank God for the powerful sermon delivered by Princess Pastor Ncengencenge a few Sundays ago, which was aired on TV. It was packed with revelations. I pity those churches that still believe that a woman should keep quiet in church. Times have changed so much that the Zionists of today would not bother one if he ate his pork and visited their church. Gone are the days of umoya lebewungevani nengulube ngobe yangenwa yincumbi yemadimoni yangena elwandle.
Talking about eating pork, it reminds me of my pastor, who told me that he does not eat ingulube. My other pastor though, Apostle WM said he would not think twice to eat it.
Yes, every creature of God is good…I Timothy 4:4-5.
About the foodstuff which have become a bone of contention, I would have thought that it should not be a problem to us Christians. The bible says that what goes into the mouth does not defile, but that which comes out, e.g. gossip. We may find that we pay attention to material things and omit the important matters. In the letter to the angel of the church of Ephesus (Revelations 2:2-4) Jesus Christ compliments the church for such things such as a sharp eye on his people, but warns conversely against their overlooking the greater thing –love.
Princess Ncengencenge is right, the spirit in the body of Christ is quenched. There’s total impotency in spiritual matters. It is unfortunate that some of the so-called men of God concentrate much on high seats and titles.
On the food confusion issue though, I respect all the men of God who came forward and spoke about this. They are my fathers in the Lord, the shepherds and I am a sheep of the flock. Nonetheless, I feel there is no harm in eating if we do not become stumbling blocks to our weaker brothers – Romans 14. In I Corinthians 8:1-9, Paul writes about eating things offered to idols, that we must eat. In verse eight, he says that food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat, we are not better, nor if we do not eat, we are not worse.
