Don’t run football like an animal farm

Sir,

 I am really annoyed by the fact that the government and the Minister of Sports, in particular, have been quiet and she seems to have kept her distance from the issue of 16 teams.

We are now being told of a possibility of the delay in starting the football season. Are Mbabane Highlanders so powerful that they should be allowed to derail the start of the season? If Mbabane Highlanders are allowed to get away with this, this will mean that anything is possible and any rule can be challenged as long as one has money and power in this country.

I would really like to appeal to the PLS not to allow this to go through, especially if it’s going to delay everyone. Why should we give Mbabane Highlanders an opportunity to challenge their relegation? Let’s not have a case of all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others. This is not Animal Farm .
