I was never against former Gege MP

Sir,

African National Congress’ (ANC) Mr Gwebe Mantashe once said, you will never have for life, friends and for life, enemies.

Of course it is the end of the Ninth Parliament and some legislators have done their assignment quite convincingly while some have failed dismally; we cannot negotiate that.

People are saying I have been following our ex-MP and writing very harsh things about him.
I feel I should correct their statement by saying it was not being personal against him. In fact I have raised pertinent issues about the work done by all the people who were elected to serve the constituency.

Targeted

This shows that I never targeted him but merely raised the problems faced by the people.
Of course I’m happy because about 70 per cent of those who served in the past term agree with me and say I pushed them to where they are.
Swazis, it’s high time we must know that in politics one will never be satisfied before questioning.

Criticism

When we need answers as a community I think it is important that we get them. Again a politician must always be open to criticism because he will never please all the people all of the time.
All in all I would like to thank our ex-constituency officers for the wonderful effort they tried hard to display to the people of Gege.

Indeed the people will decide whether or not to reinstate them for another term and of course if people are not satisfied, they must comply and respect the choice of the voters. Once again, all the best.

Ronnie Dlamini
