BANNED SSN PUBLISHES PM’S ‘DETAILED CV’ ON ITS WEBSITE
MBABANE – The Canada branch of the proscribed Swaziland Solidarity Network (SSN) is in possession of what it claims to be Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini’s full text of his Curriculum Vitae (CV), wherein his personal contacts are listed.
The CV contains his personal email address and a mobile telephone number which he uses for private and personal matters, which the solidarity network publicised in its website in Canada.
The SSN is an ally of the proscribed People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) and Swaziland Youth Congress (SWAYOCO).
This newspaper cannot reveal the premier’s personal contact numbers for professional and ethical reasons. usually, mobile telephone numbers for heads of government are not for public consumption.
The SSN does not have just an extract of the prime minister’s CV, which the Government of Swaziland has published in its website, but it purportedly has the full text that looks like it was penned by the prime minister himself.
Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini said he had never given anyone his CV that covered his recent careers and activities. He said his official CV was available on Google. However, the CV that appeared on Google was brief compared to what the SSN has posted. In fact, Google published almost the same CV that appeared in the Swaziland Government website.
Percy Simelane, the Government Press Secretary, said he would not know where they got the prime minister’s CV. He said his office only published an extract of the CV, highlighting key points.
He said the prime minister worked abroad in USA with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), suspecting that it could be that the SSN got it there.
When he was told that the CV covered activities that happened 12 years after the prime minister had left the IMF, the government spokesperson said he really had no idea about the source of this confidential information.
“I really don’t know how these people got His Excellency’s CV if it is the genuine one as I haven’t seen it,” he said.
In this case, the SSN, banned by the prime minister in 2008 alongside three of its sister organisations in Swaziland, has decided to publish the full text of the CV.
The SSN is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa and has a branch in Canada.
However, it is the Canada branch that published the premier’s CV. Lucky Lukhele, the network’s spokesperson, referred enquiries to the contact person of the organisation’s branch in Canada.
However, Lukhele hinted though that curriculum vitaes for public figures should be publicly available.
