I’M STILL LOOKING FOR MY DAD – MINISTER SIBONGILE
BULANDZENI – Sibongile Ndlela- Simelane left congregants stunned when she said she does not know her father.
Speaking yesterday at Bulandzeni Church of the Nazarene during a prayer service, the Minister of Health said she was still looking for her father.
Simelane was representing the Minister of Home Affairs, Princess Tsandzile.
The minister had been tasked to introduce the guest speaker, Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini.
She said this was the reason she sometimes used the name Ndlela because she has been trying to locate him.
The minister revealed that she was the first born from her mother who had six children.
She said she grew up as a niece at a Ndlangamandla homestead in Shiselweni.
“I was raised by my mother,” she said.
She said though her mother was not married, the family that she was living with ended up treating the minister’s mother as a married woman.
Simelane said it was because she had many children resulting in the Ndlangamandlas treating her like a wife at the homestead.
She went on to say that as a young scholar, she went to a Christian school.
Simelane said this is what protected her from being wayward.
“I used to wake up at 4am,” said the minister.
She said that even as an adult, she no longer needs an alarm clock to wake up at 4am. Simelane also said she used to prepare fat cakes so waking up early was very important for her.
Prior to introducing the PM, Simelane introduced him as a dedicated member of the church of the Nazarene.
