TEACHER: COP HUBBY VISITS AT NIGHT, THREATENS TO KILL ME
MANZINI- A Mvimbeko High School teacher has taken her husband to court for a restraining order after he allegedly arrived at her place of employment with a group of men, including police officers, demanding to see her newborn baby.
The man, Zwelithini Ginindza, who separated with his wife Bagezile Ginindza nee Mndzebele in 2014, is alleged to have arrived at the school and ordered that the applicant show them the baby and the man who had impregnated her. “The school principal intervened and ordered the respondent and his companions to return during daylight. I am afraid of the respondent as I know what he is capable of,” the applicant stated in her founding affidavit papers.
“One of us should die ngoba ngeke mine ngikhone kuchubekela phambili (I will not be able to move on with my life), tell our son that you killed me. I am gone and my blood is in your hands,” one of the respondent’s text messages to the applicant read.
The papers further state that the applicant believed the respondent intended to harm her in the presence of their son, hence he was looking for her at her place of employment.
“I am now living in fear as the respondent keeps coming to my workplace at unreasonable hours and accompanied by threats (sic). As a result of such incidents, I am now unable to reside at the teacher’s quarters.
“He further harasses and threatens me with death. It is my humble submission that the only way to avert and stop the respondent from coming near me and invading my privacy is if a restraining order is granted against him,” the papers read.
She added that in the event the respondent continued threatening her, she stood to lose her life as the police had also failed to arrest him during the said incidents.
