STAUNCH CHRISTIAN REFUSES TO DIVORCE ADULTEROUS HUBBY
MBABANE – Due to her religious beliefs, a staunch Christian is reluctant to divorce her husband of 37 years who is allegedly in an open adulterous relationship with another woman.
Florence Bethusile Dlamini, born Gama (63) and her husband Solomon Dlamini (66) contracted a civil rites marriage in 1979. They are both pensioners, having retired from the civil service.
After their marriage was contracted, they established their matrimonial home at Ngcoseni. Florence alleged that her husband, who is a businessman, got involved with another woman, Delsile Mngometulu, and they have three children together who are aged 16, 13 and 11.
Florence, who is a member of Cana Alliance Church, alleged that her husband informed her on April 16, 2017 that he had set this weekend (April 28-30) to traditionally wed Mngometulu.
Florence rushed to court where she sought an order stopping the wedding party (umtsimba) which was scheduled to take place at Jabulane in the Shiselweni region.
Yesterday, Judge Ticheme Dlamini issued an interim order restraining Solomon from proceeding with the wedding ceremony this weekend or anytime afterwards.
Florence said she approached the court to protect her matrimonial property and to interdict Mngometulu from physically and verbally abusing her. She narrated that sometime during the subsistence of their marriage, her husband allegedly informed her that he impregnated Mngometulu and the child was already six years old, having been born in 2001.
