MBABANE – Banks are known to invite customers to bank with them but it’s a different case for Nedbank, which wants a man stopped from harassing its employees.

Businessman Boycie Magongo seemed to have been too much to handle for Nedbank Swaziland.
This has resulted in the management of the bank approaching the court for an order interdicting and restraining him from assaulting and threatening its employees with violence or force.

Employees were reportedly now living in fear as the former tennis player would visit various branches of the bank around the country to harass them and demand services he was not eligible to receive.

He rose to fame when he was a tennis player and an executive member of the Swaziland National Tennis Association.
Magongo did not only harass the employees but also demanded loans despite not meeting the requirements.
In one instance, he is alleged to have manhandled one of the senior managers of the bank.

One of the bank’s managers, identified as Shongwe, told the court that Magongo would now and again come to Nedbank Swaziland, Mbabane, for assistance.  He told the court that the businessman was told of the requirements he should meet for him to get assistance.
According to Shongwe, Magongo was also informed that without furnishing proper documentation, he would not be assisted.
This, according to Shongwe occurred on different occasions.

“After being told that he would not be assisted, he became rude towards the bank’s employees and began to use unpalatable words toward the employees who were assisting him,” submitted Shongwe.
