DAD BASHES BOY WHO WANTED CIRCUMCISION

 MBABANE – While the Ministry of Health and its stakeholders advocate for male circumcision, some men hate the practice to the extent that they do not want it discussed in their homesteads.

Male circumcision is the removal of the foreskin from a male’s private part and it is believed that the exercise helps reduce the risk of contacting sexually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDS and promotes hygiene among men.

However, a nine year-old boy has been heavily assaulted by his father after he had  sought permission to undergo circumcision at his school.

After learning about the importance and advantages of circumcision from the health practitioners who had visited his school, it is said *Majaha registered his desire to be circumcised.
 However, he could not do it without consent from his parents as per the key requirement.

It is alleged that when he asked for the permission to circumcise from his father, Enoch Ngubane, he disapproved of it. Instead, he is alleged to have told his son that the sole reason he sent him to school was to learn not to circumcise.

When the minor tried to reason with his father, it is alleged that Ngubane pulled a yoke strap and assaulted him.
When the child’s mother intervened, her husband is said to have accused her of spoiling the child. During the heated argument, it is said Ngubane assaulted his sickly wife with the same yoke strap all over the body.
