MBABANE – It’s free shares for Swazi Mobile’s first 100 000 customers!

All these customers need to do is purchase a SIM card, load E200 worth airtime per month and receive calls from 10 unique numbers per month to qualify for the shares.

This should go on for a period of three months, following which Swazi Mobile will then make its assessment and announce the first 100 000 locals who will be shareholders in the company.

In essence, to qualify for the shares, a customer will have to spend E600 in three months on airtime and receive at least 30 calls within that period.

This is one of the many surprises that Swazi Mobile has for its customers.
Even before the official switch- on day arrives, the company has proven that it belongs to the people as it has announced a historical gift of E60 million shares to Swazis for free. This was announced during a press conference yesterday and it became clear that one does not necessarily need to be a ‘man in a suit’ or have a fat wallet to have shares in the company.

As mentioned earlier, part of the criteria is that customers will be expected to load airtime worth E200 per month for the next three months and further receive 30 calls.
The good news is that the expected calls will be welcome from any other mobile company, including competitors.
Making the announcement was Swazi Mobile’s Victor Gamedze, who mentioned that the company’s Board of Directors felt that it was the only way of giving back to the nation.
