MBABANE – Mbabane Motors was like the biblical Messiah to many who were dehydrated from trekking Sibebe Rock.

Even though some had brought their own drinks, but the 13 kilometre walk from the foot to the summit of Sibebe Rock was not a walk in the park as it demanded that the body be hydrated.
For this reason, that the dealership had provided the participants who conquered the challenge with 10 000 litres water, Energade drinks, oranges and apples to rehydrate.

These were all worth E10 000, which had been a sponsorship towards the event hosted by Mbabane Mbuluzi Rotary Club.
According to Mbabane Motors Marketing Officer Vuma Myeni, the company has been sponsoring the Sibebe Survivor Challenge in this manner for three years now. He said in all the years they have been with the Rotary Club, this is the first year that they have seen such high attendance of the event.

In addition, he said this has been evident in that the provisions they had for the people took longer to finish in the past than this year.
Myeni said it shows just how much the occasion has grown.

To add to the hydration essentials, the company also ensured that participants get to read the big news of what is happening around the country while they enjoy their time out in the veld.
Mbabane Motors guaranteed this by distributing 500 copies of the Times Sunday to the first conquerors to reach the summit of Sibebe Rock.

In Myeni’s opinion, Sibebe Challenge has gained momentum in terms of followers which he said also compels the company to up their game by contributing even more for future walks.
