TV MTETWA LEAVES FOND MEMORIES
MBABANE – Relatives of the late acting Ludzidzini Governor, Timothy Velabo Mtetwa, still have to confirm the death of the traditionalist, as some people don’t believe it to be true.
This was said by one of her daughters, Esther Dlamini, who is also the Mbabane East Member of Parliament (MP). Dlamini said people were calling to confirm if Mtetwa had really passed away after the publication of the story.
Last week, rumours that Mtetwa had passied away were circulating on social media, however, his family set the record straight that he was still alive.
Mtetwa was reported to have responded to the rumours when informed by his relatives by saying, “Hhawu sebangijake lapho kantsi.” He was reported to have further joked that he would be behind the steering wheel when coming back home after being discharged.
Mtetwa’s joke is said to have raised hopes that he would come back alive.
On another note, Dlamini said Mtetwa had a vision about his children. The only female Member of Parliament, who was elected at constituency level, said her father raised them until he met his death.
She said her father put everything on the table for them to decide what they wanted in life.
“Bekatsi babe konkhe ukubeke etafuleni ngako ke umuntfu utatikhetsela yena kutsi ufunani emphilweni,” Dlamini said in vernacular.
The legislator said Mtetwa told them that those who failed to use opportunities would regret, while those who used them wisely would see the rewards. Evidently, most of Mtetwa’s children secured high posts in different institutions in the country.
