MBABANE – The distribution of the estate of the late Prince Mfanasibili with assets valued at over E3.5 million has been stalled.
This is because three of his wives are at each others throats over one of his properties situated at Lusushwana.

One of the widows, Thandi Dlamini, is reported to be now claiming ownership of the homestead and is also refusing to sign the Liquidation and Distribution Account.

The former Liqoqo strongman died on March 15, 2016. Two of his wives, Regina and Thulile, have since taken Thandi to court after she allegedly refused to sign the Liquidation and Distribution Account.

It is alleged that Thandi was arguing that the property described as Plot No.234 Farm nine in Manzini does not form part of the Estate but belonged to her. The duo (Regina and Thulile) wants the court to declare that the property formed part of the estate.

They are further praying for an order compelling Thandi to sign the Liquidation and Distribution Account of the late prince to enable the winding up of his estate.

The 27 children of the late prince had also been cited as respondents in the matter. In her founding affidavit, Regina stated that they (all the three wives) were appointed as executrix in the Estate of the late Prince Mfanasibili by virtue of being married to him in accordance with the Swazi Law and Custom.

She mentioned that the applicants (Regina and Thulile) instituted these proceedings in their capacities as executors as well as beneficiaries in the deceased’s estate. Regina alleged that Thandi was not only refusing to participate in the distribution of the estate but was allegedly also conflicted. She mentioned that the estate of the late Prince Mfanasibili comprised of both movable and immovable property.
