TAXIMAN KILLS SOLDIER WIFE, HIMSELF
NKWALINI – While romantics were exchanging love messages, roses and kisses, a taximan was mastering his plot to murder his wife of three years.
He eventually went ahead with his plot and thereafter committed suicide.
This transpired at Nkwalini, in Mbabane where the taximan and his wife who is a soldier, were found lying lifelessly in the early hours of yesterday. The names of the two deceased are known to this publication but will not be mentioned at the moment as their families might not have been notified.
According to sources close to the matter, they were shocked to wake up to a discovery of the taximan lying lifelessly right next to his car, which was parked under a tree outside Nkwalini Primary School. They said inside the car was the deceased soldier who was found with a stab wound in the side of her neck. She was reportedly found lying on a bloody passenger seat which was reclined such that people passing by could not see whether there was anyone in the car or not.
The sources said the discovery was made at around 4am and police were called. They said after taking samples and pictures, their bodies were taken away in a police vehicle at around 6:30am. They stated that by this time, residents had gathered to witness what turned out to be a crime of passion which left the couple dead and two children without parents.
The children are said to be about 10 years of age if not younger and each was born from a different partner.
Narrating events leading to the gruesome incident, a source who commented on condition of anonymity, said the couple had problems since three weeks ago.
She said it all started when the taximan saw a WhatsApp message sent to his wife by an unidentified man which suggested that she might have been having an extramarital affair. The husband, who was at this point hot under the collar, reportedly took his wife to a nearby forest and assaulted her.
The matter was allegedly reported to the police, however, no case was opened as the two reconciled.
The message seemed to have caused a lot of discomfort to the taximan as he was said to have been so troubled by it that it was apparent that he was stressed.
