SHE WAS DEMANDING SEX – MURDER SUSPECT

 NHLANGANO – A woman’s desire for sexual intercourse turned  deadly when the man she had targeted didn’t take kindly to her advances last Saturday night.

The woman reportedly died while admitted to a health facility, following an alleged attack by the man at a drinking joint located at Mahlalini, outside Nhlangano.
Police have since arrested a 55-year-old suspect in connection with the incident. The name of the suspect will not be revealed as he is yet to make a formal court appearance.

The man apparently became agitated when the woman, who, strangely was unknown to him, began to make sexual advances while the pair were sleeping together inside a house at the watering hole following a drinking spree.
According to well-placed sources, the suspect confessed in statements made to the police, to the killing of the married woman, who was only identified to him by her maiden surname.
Details have emerged that the two were among residents who had been enjoying traditional brew at a certain homestead at Mahlalini on Saturday.

The suspect is said to have informed police officers that he had been at the homestead since midday until at around 8pm when he retired after he had glugged down a lot of the homemade brew.
It is understood that he was shown a house within the compound where he could sleep after he appeared too drunk to embark on the journey back to his own homestead, which is also situated in the same area.

Apparently there were many people who appeared to have taken one too many on the day, but his condition together with that of the woman patron, compelled the others to suggest that they sleep over.
The suspect was the first one to be shown the room to sleep in but he was later joined by the younger woman, who was also intoxicated.
The idea was that they would both pass out due to their excessive drinking.

Indeed, the plan seemed to work with the suspect who simply dozed off after being ushered into the room.
However, trouble set in when the woman joined him to sleep.

He is said to have informed the investigating officers that he became infuriated when the woman woke him up to have a conversation.
The man claimed he was less interested in what the woman had to say because all he wanted was to sleep, after a day of heavy drinking.
He said while being ignored, the woman started to make a lot of noise while in her drunken stupor.

According to the suspect, the woman took her shenanigans to the next level when she started to demand sex from him, yet he wanted to sleep.
He told police officers that he flatly refused to yield to her demands but the woman was persistent.
He believes the woman’s actions were motivated by rumours suggesting he had a lot of money on the day.
