MANZINI – His Majesty King Mswati III  returned from Angola yesterday afternoon.

The King had joined other Southern African Development Community (SADC) heads of State during the Double Troika Summit that took place in Luanda on Tuesday.
His Majesty was accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMahlangu. The King and Inkhosikati were dressed in matching 50/50 emahiya following the double celebrations of the King’s Birthday and the attainment of 50 years of Independence last week.

The King landed at the KMIII International Airport yesterday afternoon after holding talks with other heads of State where among other issues that were discussed was the situation in Lesotho. A question was raised on whether a Swati judge would be nominated to assist in the clearing of the criminal justice backlog in that country.
The King also met with newly-elected South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

One of the highlights of the trip was that SADC member States were quick to embrace the country’s now official name, which is the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Among other well-wishers who welcomed the King at the airport were members of the royal family and government officials.
