MBABANE – A man suspected to be engaged in dagga trade escaped from a mob of close to 30 people to save his life by shooting and killing two people.
The killings happened on Monday morning at Luhlendlweni, which is about 20km away from Sigangeni.

Special Ncwane (32) is now wanted by the police to assist with information regarding the double murder where a male and a female were killed.
According to the community police members from the area, two vehicles from Nkomazi, a sedan and van, arrived at Ncwane’s home on Monday morning.
All of the occupants alighted from the vehicles and one of them proceeded to knock on Ncwane’s door before moving away. One of the mob members is said to have then forcefully opened the door using his foot. It is suspected that Ncwane, who was inside his house, had an inclination that he was under attack as he fired one shot as soon as if the door opened.

Another member of the mob is said to have retaliated with a gunshot and they later fled the scene.
This is said to have prompted Ncwane to fire another gunshot as well before he disappeared into the nearby forest.
This gunshot hit a female member of the mob in the mouth.

By the time the mob returned to inspect what had happened, they found the deceased lying inside Ncwane’s house by the door.
It is suspected that the deceased was shot through his right ear and the bullet went through his left eye.

Police were then called to the scene and the woman’s body was also discovered a few meters from Ncwane’s house.
“We just heard one of the people saying here is another person shot here and we rushed to the scene and found the woman lying face down, already dead,” a community police member stated.
