NGUDZENI – Pushing and elbowing of each other reigned supreme as Ndushulweni voters under Ngudzeni Inkhundla scrambled for food on Friday.

Formed a queue

The over 50 people who had remained behind for food after casting their votes late in the afternoon could not hold back their joy as they ran and formed a queue for the food parcels that were distributed by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC). These were among the over 600 voters who had voted at Ndushulweni polling station where eight candidates were vying for the Member of Parliament (MP) seat.

They include former Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) Marketing Manager Charles Ndlovu, Big boy Mamba, Amos Magwegwe Mamba, Thulasizwe Nhlabatsi, Lungile Thulile Dlamini, Sydney Mlungisi Simelane and Fafane Bongani Simelane. A majority of the people said they wanted the food parcels because they had planned not to go back to their respective homes as they wanted to witness the counting process late at night.
