MANZINI – The nurse whose body was found unresponsive in her flat had just received a huge loan from one of the reputable banks, it has been confirmed.
However, some of the funds have been withdrawn from her account.

No one has been fingered to have withdrawn some of the money from her account as yet.
Reliable sources confirmed that Dolly Mlangeni ,who was found dead and her body wrapped in a towel in her house situated at Hlatikhulu, had just received the funds when she was found dead in her flat, last Thursday.
The person who is suspected to have withdrawn the money is still unknown to the police who are actively investigating the murder incident.

“It has been confirmed that the nurse had applied for a personal loan, which was approved recently. However the funds are not traceable anymore and the police are still conducting investigations pertaining to who might have withdrawn the money,” a well-placed source said.

Meanwhile, it was also gathered that the father of the deceased is a former police officer.
The father, Sergeant Mlangeni, who was based at the Matsapha Police Station (Esigodvweni), has just retired.

He was based at Pigg’s Peak Police Station before his transfer to the Manzini Region recently.
Dolly’s vehicle, a Toyota Rush SUV, was found abandoned in a forest near New Town, at Boyane, near Ludzeludze on Saturday morning. The forest is situated about a kilometre from police officer, Constable Sibusiso Shongwe’s homestead.
The police confirmed that the officer had still not been found and is wanted in connection with Dolly’s murder.

Driving

Allegations are that the officer, who is still on the run, was seen driving around by members of the public in the company of friends. His cellphone, when called, is at times on and then quickly goes off, which proves that he is still in the country.
Some of the nurse’s close friends confirmed that before her death, she was no longer comfortable with her love relationship with the officer and had allegedly ended it.
However, the officer did not want to accept this and move on.

On Wednesday, the officer’s vehicle had been parked outside her place together with Dolly’s car.  This was before the car disappeared from the place. Police concluded that it was driven to Boyane after the incident by the officer, who was the last person to enter the nurse’s house.

Deputy Police Information and Communications Officer Inspector  Nosipho Mnguni confirmed that the officer had still not been arrested.
“He is still wanted by the police whose investigations are ongoing and he is advised to surrender as soon as possible,” Mnguni said.
