NATSANI NITSI CABU CABU - KING
MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III has urged members of Lutsango regiment not to drink too much.
In his own words, the King said: “Natsani nitsi cabu cabu kodvwa nicaphele kungabese kuye engcondvweni.”
The monarch was speaking at Hlane Royal Residence during the Buganu Ceremony which was attended by hordes of the members of Lutsango yesterday.
The King said they should drink to quench thirst. The King went on to thank Lutsango for its continued honouring of the ceremony, which he said has become one of the ceremonies that attract tourists into the country.
He said the numbers of tourists that are lured by the Buganu Ceremony are increasing every year, likewise the number of Lutsango. He said that was judged by the fact that the arena where they dance is becoming smaller and had to be extended every year. Among those who had come far to witness the ceremony were the King of kaTembe and the one of the VaVhenda. The King said the increase in the number of visitors was evidence that emaSwati are doing the right thing in continuing to stick to their culture and cultural activities.
I am not drunk – Indlovukazi
Meanwhile, Indlovukazi also left members of Lutsango regiment in stiches when she said she mustn’t be perceived as someone who was drunk. She said: “Labanye batuwubese batsi yini ngatsi logogo sewubufakile.”
Indlovukazi was sharing to Lutsango that she had made another breakthrough on how the marula fruit can be processed to generate more income for them.
However, she said she would keep it a secret for now.
