EX-TV, RADIO PERSONALITY PHILILE MASANGO DIES IN CRASH

MBABANE – Former Eswatini TV personality and Kaya FM presenter Philile Masango is no more.


Masango, who had relocated to South Africa where she was currently working, died in a car crash on Friday at around 10:30pm, along Mhlume/Maphiveni Public Road at Vuvulane.


Information gathered from police reports was to the effect that Masango, who was aged 40, was a passenger in a Nissan Qashqai which was driven by a 36-year-old man of Siteki.


Injuries


The driver lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, overturned several times and landed into a donga. Both Masango and the driver sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Good Shephered Hospital in Siteki, where she was certified dead on arrival.


The driver of the vehicle also sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the same hospital. When sought for comment on the demise of Masango, a close family member confirmed the news of her passing.


“Yes, it is true that Philile is no more,” the relative said. However, he said they were still going to meet to discuss the matter.
Facebook (FB) was also abuzz yesterday where friends sent their condolences.
