MBABANE – Prominent Accountant Paul Mulindwa says Princes Lungile deserves more than a child’s share from the estate of her late husband Victor Gamedze.

Mulindwa was the accountant for the late businessman and his wife Princess Lungile. Princess Lungile is currently embroiled in court battle with the Master of the High Court over the distribution of her husband’s estate. The master ruled that she was eligible to receive a child’s share from the estate. In his supporting affidavit, Mulindwa submitted that the princess contributed substantial sums of money, skill and resources to Victor’s companies. He said: “Ultimately, there would be no Victor without Lungile. It would be absurd for his estate to be distributed in the manner that relegated Lungile to a mere dependent, like a child, who did not actively contribute to and build the same estate.”

Mother

According to the accountant, when princess Lungile’s mother died, she left her an inheritance of E3 million. He stated that he was the accountant for Inkhosikati LaMhlanga, the mother to Princess Lungile, since 1983 up until she passed away in 2010. Mulindwa further pointed out that he was also the accountant for Victor and Lungile’s companies from 1992 up until December 2013. “From my experience as accountant for these companies, I know that Victor’s wife played a pivotal role in elevating Victor to be a successful businessman and provided his companies with capital and other resources that resulted in their growth and success,” said the accountant. He narrated that by the time Princess Lungile met Victor, she had substantial cash reserves.

Established

According to Mulindwa, the princess established a company for Victor called MV Investments and bought him a large consignment of goods so that he could trade in household consumables, stationery and safety clothing. The accountant alleged that the princess also contributed the capital for the business in the amount of E500 000. He alleged that he was aware that at that time, Lungile’s businesses were flourishing and thriving.
