MBABANE – Ace pupil Mandiso Likhwa Dlamini, who is among pupils who scooped the first position in the country, wants to become an engineer.
This he said was driven by his passion for maths and drawing.

The former KaBoyce High School pupil scored aggregate six and is currently pursuing Form VI at St Mark’s High School. Mandiso believes enrolling in Form VI was a gateway to studying abroad, something which he desired.

difficult

He confessed that the examinations were difficult and he was not expecting to be among the top pupils. However, he said pressure from his parents and teachers pushed him to work hard as they wanted him to take up position one.
He added that his teachers were always reminding him that they were expecting him to be among the top pupils.

studied

Mandiso said getting anything less than position one would have been a disappointment to him. “I studied from the beginning of the year which is something I do all-year round,” Mandiso said.

However, he said he did not sacrifice watching television and using his phone, which was always with him. According to Mandiso, he was able to balance schoolwork and leisure. “When it was time for books, I gave my all.”
