27 NEW COVID-19 CASES, TOTAL AT 5 155

MBABANE – The country recorded 27 new COVID-19 cases and 17 recoveries yesterday.  
The cases were confirmed by Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi.


This means that the total number of cases in the country stands at 5 155.  
Manzini Region had the highest number of cases as it recorded 13, followed by Hhohho with seven while Lubombo had five and two from the Shiselweni Region.
From the confirmed cases, 20 presented with a mild disease, four had moderate symptoms while three were asymptomatic.


The youngest case was one in the zero to nine age bracket while the eldest were three in the 60 to 69 years group. The total number of recoveries in the country is 4 418 after the 17 that were recorded yesterday. This means that current active cases are 636. There is a difference of 3 782 between active cases and recoveries, in favour of the latter.  
There were no deaths that were recorded yesterday and the tally still stands at 101.
