13 NEW CASES, 23 RECOVERIES

MBABANE – The country recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases and 23 recoveries yesterday.  

The cases were confirmed by the Minister of Health, Lizzie Nkosi. 

The total number of cases in the country now stands at 5 282. The confirmed cases came from 103 results that were received yesterday. Manzini Region recorded six cases, followed by Hhohho with four while Lubombo had two and one from the Shiselweni Region. 

Two of the cases were asymptomatic, nine presented with mild stmptoms while two others had moderate symptoms. 

The youngest case was one in the zero-to-nine age bracket while the eldest was one in the 60-to-69 years group. The total number of recoveries in the country is 4 647 after the 23 that were recorded yesterday. 

This means that current active cases are 531. There is a difference of 4 116 between active cases and recoveries in favour of the latter.  

There were no deaths that were recorded yesterday as the tally still stands at 104.
