32 NEW CASES, NO DEATHS

MBABANE – The country has recorded 32 more COVID-19 cases, bringing the number of positive cases to 5 375.

The cases were confirmed by Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi yesterday. No deaths were reported. 

The cases were from 236 tests. Manzini Region recorded 20 new cases while the Hhohho Region recorded nine and Shiselweni Region had one case. 

There were two cases recorded in the Lubombo Region.

There were five asymptomatic cases, 25 mild cases and those with a moderate disease were two. 

By gender, there are 2 866 female cases in total while males are 2 509. 

There were two cases reported in the zero to nine age bracket and there was only one case in the age bracket of 80 years and above.  

There were 31 new recoveries registered yesterday. The total number of recoveries now stands at 4 724. This means that active cases are 543 while deaths remain at 108. 

The difference between active cases and recoveries is 4 213 in favour of the latter.
