21 NEW CASES, TOTAL AT 5 452

MBABANE – The country yesterday recorded 21 new COVID-19 cases and 23 recoveries.  

The cases were confirmed by the Minister of Health, Lizzie Nkosi. 

The total number of confirmed cases in the country is 5 452. The confirmed cases were from 90 results that were received yesterday.

The Lubombo Region recorded nine cases followed by Hhohho with six while Manzini had four and two from the Shiselweni Region. 

From the confirmed cases, 10 were asymptomatic, nine presented with a mild disease while two others had moderate symptoms. The youngest case was one in the zero to nine age bracket while the eldest was one in the 70 to 79 years age group. 

The total number of recoveries in the country is 4 844 after the 23 that were recorded yesterday. This means that current active cases are 500. There is a difference of 4 344 between active cases and recoveries in favour of the latter.  No deaths were recorded yesterday as the tally is still 108.
