shocking
It is said that the deceased were coming from the Lavumisa Border Gate direction. It could not be ascertained what caused the accident.
“We were all shocked by the news that the four are no more. Yesterday (Tuesday), they attended a party and I happened to pass the home where the event was held. It is so shocking that I saw them in a happy mood the previous day and having to learn that they were all dead in the blink of an eye is sad,” said the source.
Macobola Shiba, an uncle to one of the deceased, confirmed the accident when called yesterday.
He said he received a call in the morning and went to the accident scene with other family members. “I am still reeling from shock on what happened to them as we were looking up to them as parents. They were still young and had a promising future as they were educated. However, death comes anytime. We are still to meet as a family over this unfortunate incident that has struck my brother’s home,” he said.
Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed the accident. “There was an accident reported that happened in the early hours of today (yesterday). We are still trying to verify their identities for now.
