WHAT DNA TEST ON ROYAL FAMILY? – PERCY
MBABANE – The King’s Office is not convinced about Makhosini Omari Dlamini’s claims that he has DNA results to prove that he is part of the royal family.
Omari, as he is known in the social circles, claimed that he did not wish to bring up this matter again, solely because he was protecting the royal family. Omari is known to have insisted, in various instances, that he was a prince by virtue of being of royal blood. It had never been confirmed as to who his parents, within the royal family, are.

In an interview last Thursday, which was preceded by a video clip purportedly showing him bragging that he was ‘enjoying taxpayers’ money’, and the subsequent denial by the King’s Office that he was part of the royal family, Omari has claimed; “I am protecting the royal family.” He insisted that he was of royal blood. King’s Office Director Communications, Percy Simelane, in a statement sent to a local publication last week, stated that the royal family was not biologically or socially connected to Omari.
Speaking during a telephonic interview, Omari stated that he did not appreciate the King’s Office on making such disturbing claims about him, especially because he was over the entire ‘Omari hullaballoo’ and had been quiet about the matter. “I don’t deserve what is done to me by the King’s Office,” he said in the interview, in reference to the statement that he was not part of the royal family. He was challenged to show proof of his royal blood lineage, either through a birth certificate that would state who his father was. In response, he said his identity documents presented him as a royal family member and his surname was Dlamini. According to Omari, the King’s Office knew the truth on who he was. Justifying his position as a royal family member, Omari stated that he conducted a DNA test whose results confirmed his royal bloodline.
“I can provide you with the DNA results but I am protecting the royal family by not revealing my father,” he claimed. Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA can be done to prove paternity. According to Wikipedia, a DNA paternity test is nearly 100 per cent accurate at determining whether a man is someone’s biological father. DNA tests can use cheek swabs or blood tests. Omari was again asked to show proof of his claims but he denied, reiterating that he was protecting the royal family. Meanwhile, many people were irked by the video of Omari, where he stated that he was enjoying taxpayers’ money. Some asked him how he laid his hands on the taxpayers’ money while others warned him to refrain from doing such.
Clarify
Omari, in an interview with this publication, attempted to clarify the contents of the circulating video clip. He stated that the video was taken three weeks ago. He alleged that he was trying to explain that he was not misusing taxpayers’ money but enjoyed his hard earned money. However, in the video that has gone viral, there is only the part that shows him saying ‘enjoying taxpayers’ money’. Omari said the online media which decided to upload the contents of the edited video published only the controversial part, yet in actual fact, he had explained something about his hard-earned money which he was using to enjoy himself. When reached for comment, the King’s Office Director Communications, Simelane, stated that to the best of their knowledge, DNA tests involved two families. He said they did not have any record of any DNA test by the alleged royal family father or his relatives.
The King’s Office director said it was scientifically impossible to have three biological fathers. “He has a father in South Africa, another claimed him in Eswatini recently and the third whom he claims (to belong to the royal family),” said Simelane. Furthermore, he mentioned that the King’s Office met to discuss the issue and 100 per cent of the people who participated did not know Omari as a member of the royal family. According to Simelane, senior princes also dismissed the claim without scratching their heads.
Escorts
He added that some people claimed that Omari was even accorded police escorts while in the country after he appeared with two female constables in one of the daily newspapers. “The truth is the officers had not been given any instruction to escort him,” said Simelane. He stated that the officers said they met with Omari in town, chatted with him and asked that he buys them snacks, which he did. Simelane said the officers then sat with Omari and enjoyed the gesture and parted ways thereafter.
