BROTHER SHOOTS BROTHER DEAD
MANZINI – In a rather disturbing incident, a man has been accused of killing his brother in cold blood after shooting him seven times.
It is alleged that *Musa shot his brother *Sabs about seven times and the latter died from the gunshot wounds. The bone of contention was that the deceased had allegedly stolen and kept his brother’s 20 cattle in his homestead, much against a mutual agreement. The incident happened at Hlohlingwe in Mankayane, on Monday night.
According to a family member, about a month ago, the deceased allegedly stole one of his brother’s cattle. He further shared that Musa reported the matter to the police, but nothing was done about it, which led to the dispute escalating. He said they were distraught as a family about the unfortunate turn of events which led to one of their own dying. The suspect surrendered himself to the police yesterday. Chief Police Information and Communications Officer (PICO) Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed that a 46-year-old man of Hlohlingwe in Mankayane was discovered lying dead with several gunshots wounds. Vilakati said an investigation was ongoing.
