Silolo narrated that the chaos continued throughout the night till the SWALIMO members escaped to their cars after being attacked by the SA-based men. He said the SWALIMO DSG ran to his car where he was attacked. He stated that Dlamini’s car was also not spared as the window on the passenger’s side was broken. Silolo said the attackers took Dlamini’s phone hence efforts to get a comment from him were futile. She said even in the morning, she went to the graveyard with the assistance of family members. Vilakati said she did not even want to know what transpired during the night. She said what mattered to her was that her son had been buried. Despite the unsuccessful interruptions by the SA-based men, the funeral proceeded. Police were not called to the scene.
