ENJABULWENI RECORDS 100% PASS RATE IN IEB-ISC
MANZINI - Enjabulweni School continued with its tradition of excellence even in the new IEB International Secondary Certificate (ISC) results, as it recorded 100 per cent pass rate.
The IEB - ISC is a syllabus that was introduced after it was said that schools that were not in South Africa would not sit for the IEB National Senior Certificate (NSC), as it was for South African nationals. This year, schools which are outside South Africa sat for the IEB-ISC for the first time. Mathew Kamota, the Head teacher of Enjabulweni School said despite writing the IEB-ISC for the first time in history, their learners had proven themselves once again. He said the Board of governors, administrator and teachers congratulate the 2022 cohort for achieving a 100 per cent pass rate.
He said the diligence of their learners resulted in 90 per cent of them achieving marks that qualified them for the Bachelor’s Degree programmes in universities all over the world. Meanwhile, he said 10 per cent of them managed to achieve marks that enabled them to enter diploma courses next year.
“With 56 distinctions, 100 Bs and 123 Cs in various subjects, the leaners clearly gave it their all,” Kamota said.
He said the success of the school was underpinned by their Christian ethos, the mission and vision of the school. He said their mission was to provide an educational environment in which children from diverse backgrounds could grow together and further facilitate an innovative, yet pragmatic approach, which was essential to equip their pupils with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes.
“We continuously produce young adults who are independent thinkers with physical and moral courage, who are articulate, well-mannered and educated in the widest sense, with sensitivity to the needs of others,” the school head said. He thanked learners for their spirit of not giving up during the two years of COVID-19; the parents for supporting the school’s efforts to continue learning, even when the pandemic was making the environment untenable and the teachers for embracing technology and innovation for the success of their children.
