SCRAMBLE FOR HANDKERCHIEFS PRAYED FOR BY APOSTLE JUSTICE
MBABANE – There was a scramble for handkerchiefs by worshippers who had attended a crossover service at the Worship Centre in Mbabane.
The handkerchiefs had been prayed for by the founder of the church, Apostle Justice Dlamini. About 3 000 worshippers scrambled for the handkerchiefs, which were described as a mantle and point of contact, during the service which had started on New Year’s Eve until the morning of January 1, 2023. The service was themed; ‘Worship Centre Crossover 2022 to Champion in 2023’. Apostle Dlamini assured the congregants that they would all receive the handkerchiefs. Dlamini said he was reminded of people who were boarding an airplane in Nigeria and pushed each other as if it was a bus yet each had their own ticket.
Offerings
The apostle said pastors needed to offer huge offerings as they were leading churches. He advised those who took the handkerchiefs to drop their offerings as nothing was for free, adding that life was highly spiritual. The apostle said; “Kute kwasenyangeni lokutsatfwa mahhala.” The apostle said the handkerchiefs werer a lihiya in the spiritual realm, kaJesu. He said they could not take the handkerchief, lihiya lemadloti kaJesu, without making an offering. In jest, he said in 2024, there would be a shift, where Christians would bring the handkerchiefs they received the previous year to get new ones. Dlamini said those who had taken the handkerchiefs should be careful and drop their offerings.
Giving the handkerchiefs to those who made an offering, he said: “This is a mantle that when they lift up and say God of Worship Centre, God of your servant Apostle Justice, God of Isaac, God of Abraham and God of Israel, show yourself through on my behalf, things will happen.” Dlamini said it was not just evil spirits that would run away or sickness that would disappear, but doors that were shut would be opened and delays move out of the way. Also, he said those in business would receive huge profits and realise a business boom. The apostle said everyone receiving the anointed handkerchief would experience the wonders of Jehovah in the areas where they were challenged. According to the apostle, after receiving the handkerchief, in every area where the Christians were challenged, there shall be wonders.
The man of God said where the worshippers were rejected, they would be accepted. He prayed: “Father the handkerchiefs are now witnesses and representatives of the grace of God that is upon our lives. Release them Lord in accordance with the high calling of Jehovah, the holy election and the authority vested upon their lives.” Apostle Dlamini stated that the Bible said the Lord worked extraordinary miracles through Paul. In the New Testament, he said handkerchiefs that had touched his body, even aprons that were given to people who were challenged, the moment they made contact with the aprons and handkerchiefs, evil spirits left them and sickness disappeared.
Meanwhile, he also encouraged Christians to buy the church calendar which cost E50 each to hang it in their houses so that they would be armed and untouchable. The apostle said the church would be going on 21 days of fasting from January 9, 2023 to January 29, 2023. He said they would then come back for the ‘Starting Strong Conference’, which would also begin on the same week. Dlamini advised all those who would participate in the fasting to kneel on the handkerchiefs for God to activate grace upon grace in their lives. Meanwhile, some pastors do not believe a handkerchief can be a breakthrough for challenges and replace God.
Reverend Zwanini Shabalala said he did not understand whether it was the handkerchief that gave answers or reminded them that there was a God who was the answer to their problems.
Shabalala said it could never be something that was material that provided assistance but all help came from God. “When I pray, I direct it to the Almighty God and not that I should have something on my hand to appease the Lord before I get anything from Him.” Reverend Shabalala said God provided anything that he asked for at any moment.
Breakthrough
However, he said church traditions were not the same and there were those who gave sashes and tiwasho to bring breakthrough and healing. Shabalala said the bad thing was that some people then believed the things they used to assist them instead and forget that God protects, heals and brings all the good things for them. He said the danger in using material things was that people then lost focus in God and believed in whatsoever was given to them, which could be the handkerchief or holy oil and water. “It is faith in God that should lead as He is the originator of all things needed in life.” Shabalala said God should not be replaced, hence anything that is said to give luck and healing, replaced Him, which was not right as it took the place of God. Pastor Themba Ngozo, on the other hand, stated that he personally believed and trusted the name of Jesus. Ngozo said there was nothing above the name of Jesus.
