SENIOR OSSU COP COLLAPSES, DIES
MBABANE – Hardly less than three weeks, another senior police officer has died after collapsing at his home.
Isaac ‘Mthiyane’ Dlodlo, who was the Commander of the Operational Support Services Unit (OSSU) reportedly died on Wednesday morning while at his home at Nyanyali under Nkwene Inkhundla, in the Shiselweni Region. His demise was confirmed by his brother Jatham Dlodlo who, during the interview, only confirmed that his brother had passed on after collapsing.
Jotham said, as a family, they were still shocked by the death of Isaac, hence they needed some time to process what had just befell them. Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati said a formal statement on the matter would be issued by the National Commissioner of Police, William Dlamini, in due course.
Gunshot
Dlodlo’s death follows that of Manzini Police Station Commander Dumisani Dube, who was found dead at his home on February 26. Dube was found with a gunshot wound to his head. His body was found in a kneeling position beside a coffee table in his house at Coates Valley, Manzini. In May last year, the law enforcement agency lost another senior officer, Vusi Masuku. Masuku died while serving as Matsapha Police College Commandant or Senior Deputy National Commissioner.
