REPORT CRIMES DONE IN NAME OF CHURCH - BISHOP
DURBAN - Melika Jericho Church in Zion Bishop Khanyakwezwe Vilakati has called upon members of the church to report anyone known to be committing crimes in the name of the church.
Speaking during the vigil leading to the cleansing ceremony at the Indian Ocean in Durban, Vilakati said the church was ready and willing to discipline anyone found to be committing crimes in the name of the church. Without stating the nature of the crimes likely to be committed by people in the name of the church, the bishop said: “No one is expected to commit crimes in the name of the church. If you know any, bring him/her forth so that he may face the consequences.
Congregants
“The church cannot tolerate people who commit crimes in the name of the church.” On another note, the bishop warned the congregants against giving people titles they did not deserve. He said it concerned him to hear people calling others by titles they did not deserve. Vilakati said it was useless to give a person a title on earth while the position was not written or confirmed in Heaven. “Do not give people titles that are not written in Heaven. Do not call them holy when they are known to be doing evil. “It is a pity that some people keep glorifying others yet they know them to be doing evil. As you carry out your mandate, ask yourself if you are not doing evil. The angels of this church will forsake you if you do evil,” the bishop said.
