MANZINI - A fuel tanker was involved in an accident after its driver reportedly lost control of it before it veered off the road and landed in a drain at Lozitha yesterday afternoon.

As a result, one of the occupants sustained injuries. The tanker was reportedly headed to Matsapha from Mbabane and authorities found at the scene had to carefully retrieve the vehicle while cautioning motorists driving towads the Mbabane direction to drive safely.

According to an officer, who introduced himself as Constable Ginindza, who was found at the scene, two occupants were on board the tanker, which was coming from Mbabane. He could not ascertain the cause of the accident but stated that they were still investigating. “Two occupants were on board and one sustained injuries on the shoulder,’’ Constable Ginindza said. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Inspector Nosipho Mnguni confirmed the accident. Mnguni said there were no severe casualties.
