RUSH FOR BLESSINGS AS UNYAZI LEAVES
LAVUMISA – As Unyazi Lwezulu was leaving the country for South Africa yesterday, people of Lavumisa and surrounding areas rushed to the border to receive blessings, after narrating their challenges.
This happened around 2pm yesterday, when the convoy with the Shembe leader arrived at the border. The Nazareth Baptist Church Leader, Unyazi Lwezulu, also known as Shembe, was in the country for a two-week festival, which was held at Esabelweni in Mahlanya. He arrived at the border in his convoy and had time to see some of the believers at the border gate. One man had come with his job application documents, while others requested healing and financial breakthroughs.
Prayed
It was noted that others came with water and petroleum jelly to be prayed for by Shembe. Even South African nationals also got a chance to have an audience with Shembe at the border gate, as he was waiting for the immigration processes. In an interview with Unyazi Lwezulu, he stated that he received a warm welcome when he arrived in the kingdom and he had been enjoying his stay since he got here. “EmaSwati bekasiphetse kahle kakhulu,” he said in vernacular. Unyazi Lwezulu said they would not turn down His Majesty King Mswati III’s invitation. He said they would plan about the right time to come to the kingdom next year through various consultations on His Majesty’s availability. “It was my first experience to receive such good treatment and respect,” he emphasised. Shiselweni Regional Secretary Mzwandile Mthethwa was at the border to send off the Nazareth Baptist Church leader, as well as Lavumisa Police Post Commander Sicelo Dlamini, among others. On the South African side of the border; Unyazi Lwezulu was received by top police officials of Golela SAPS, as well as members of the municipality.
