TRUCK CARRYING SAWDUST BURNS

NHLANGANO – A truck that was transporting sawdust caught fire and was extensively burnt at Hluti in the Shiselweni Region.

The truck was heading towards Nhlangano. It is not known what caused the fire as the driver is said to have stopped it abruptly after realising that the vehicle was on fire.

Assist

Motorists also tried to assist by putting out the fire, but in vain. Sources revealed that at some point, the flame was so huge that motorists had to stop. Police officers were called to the scene and they assisted motorists to safely pass and continue with their journeys. A comment could not be sought from the driver and the owner of the truck as their phones rang unanswered when reached for comment.
