SIVANDZI IRKS CHRISTIANS WITH ‘GOD IS MARRIED’ STATEMENT
MBABANE – Renowned socialite and controversial prophet, Sivandzisemakhosi Dlamini has irked the Christian community with a statement that says God is married.
Dlamini was speaking in an interview on YouTube channel, The CentTwinz TV, hosted by popular South African actresses, television and radio presenters Millicent Mashile and Innocent Sadiki who are also identical twins. The podcast was aired 10 days ago and has garnered over 19 891 views and 290 comments. Over three quarters of the commentators blasted Dlamini for his doctrine and said he was displaying elements of being familiar to the word of God but was not articulating it accurately. The channel has 168 000 subscribers.
Mysterious
Halfway into the interview, Dlamini started explaining his personal encounter with God and said he saw God come to him through a mysterious cloud that became a human form in front of him. He said after encountering the cloud, he began to understand God in a different level and had revelations of biblical scriptures in a different manner. He said God was clear to him after his encounter with the mysterious cloud. He elaborated on a revelation he received of how God was married and said the sermon was received with contempt by the Christian fraternity, especially pastors.
Understanding
“When I started hearing God differently, I started to understand His word differently too. I remember a sermon I once preached which said ‘God is married’ and pastors even said I was mad because of the revelation. I then told them that the bible is not the Word of God and they were like ‘heee’ (sic) and I told them that it is written in the same bible in John 1 vs 1 that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God. It continues in verse 14 and says the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. The bible did not become flesh,” he said.
He explained his revelation on God being married, basing it on the premise of God’s trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and said it was not possible to have a son and no mother. He said the Holy Spirit was the wife of God and attempted to qualify his statement with a verse in Ephesians 4:17-32 that says: “do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.’’
Darkness
“If you go back to Genesis you begin to discover that in the beginning the Spirit of God; not God, was hovering in darkness meaning that God stays in darkness. As you have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, you cannot have a son without the mother. That’s why even Jesus Christ had to be born out of the virgin Mary. Now, the Holy Spirit is the wife of God because if you continue reading the apostles books it says do not grieve the Holy Spirit as there is no sin bigger than that,” said Dlamini. Christians in the comment box could not spare Dlamini over what they termed as blasphemous statement that was insulting to God and the Holy Spirit. The hosts were also dragged for nodding in affirmation over what Dlamini was saying.
Revelation
While many castigated Dlamini for his revelation on issues of the bible, others focused on the hosts and said they were not supposed to air the episode as the content was blasphemous. Others even claimed that the channel allowed the content to air in order to get more views. “What did I just watch? I thought this was a Christian channel. Clearly it’s about people just sharing their stories. It’s a pity scriptures are brought in this channel without correction, hence some Christians come in to watch thinking it’s about true gospel, kanti, it’s purely stories without the revelation of scriptures. To our beautiful twins, discernment is needed and obedience to God is key. Asingadayisi ngezwi leNkosi. I know that you guys are blessed to know what is truly from God and what’s not. Asingalidayisi ke. Rather forsake other interviews (sic),” wrote a subscriber.
Another subscriber invited Dlamini to read 2nd Timothy 3 verse 16 and 17, which says: “all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” One subscriber wrote: “many false prophets shall rise and deceive many. People really need to pray for discernment.” The subscriber said the word filled her spirit as soon as Dlamini began speaking about the bible not being God’s word.
