DISAPPOINTMENT AS SIBAYA POSTPONED, NO NEW PM
LUDZIDZINI – Disappointed!
This best describes the mood of some people who attended Sibaya yesterday, expecting to know the new prime minister. This is because when the King addressed the nation last Monday, he had sought the nation to advise him on the best candidate to ascend to Hospital Hill, Mbabane, to lead Cabinet. Yesterday, when some of the people who had come to partake in the People’s Parliament were informed that it had been postponed to Friday, they expressed disappointment while also appreciating the decision by the authorities. Mfanasibili Dlamini said he was disappointed that the final day of Sibaya had been deferred. However, he expressed appreciation that the authorities had exhibited love for the people by protecting them from the rain.

He said: “The King and the Queen Mother have shown that they love us and considered the impact of the bad weather on their people.” Dlamini said as much as he had suspected that it would rain for the better part of the day, when he set-off to Ludzidzini Royal Residence, he had decided to nevertheless go there following the royal command. Dlamini said when there was a royal command, the people must heed the call and yesterday morning was no diffrerent. Also, Mandla Mkhonta from Bulandzeni, said he had anticipated to know the person who would be assigned to grapple with the thorny issues submitted by the public at the People’s Parliament. He said he had been ready to attend Sibaya from 6am, as he wanted to board the bus ferrying them to Ludzidzini Royal Residence. Upon arrival, Mkhonta was among the many people who were ordered back into their buses as the People’s Parliament had been deferred.
In fact, two buses arrived within 20 minutes intervals, at around 10:30 am, where on board were people from the Hhohho Region. They were informed while alighting that they had to be transported back to their various destinations as Sibaya had been deferred. As the public were informed about this development, some bemoaned that they were hungry as they had left their homes early in the morning. However, they were informed that they had to return as most of the food had been preserved for when Sibaya resumes again. While this was happening, State security personnel were unplugging the panel walk-through security detectors. At the same time, trucks transporting the tents which were dismounted from the cattle byre were seen exiting the royal residence.
