ACCREDITED PRIVATE SCHOOLS LISTED

MBABANE – The Ministry of Education and Training has issued a list of accredited private schools for the academic year 2024.

It warned that as schools are expected to open on January 23, 2024, parents need to be careful of fly-by-night private schools. Director in the ministry, Dr Ntombenhle Dlamini, encouraged parents to contact the ministry if certain private schools they were interested in were not on the list.

Authority

According to the list, 113 private schools were granted full authority. Schools such as Hlanganani Primary, Little School Primary, Bayabonga Day Care and Pre-School, Bayabonga Primary, New Dawn Pre-School, Checkers Pre-School, ABC Pre-School, Imphumelelo High and Brilliant Star Pre-School, among others, will operate under full authority.

Provisional

The issued list by the ministry also revealed 83 private schools granted provisional authority to operate. Some of these schools, among others, include; Nkosingiphendule Play Centre, Bright Beginning Pre-School, Rehoboth Pre-School, Care Bears Play School and Mobeni Preschool. Three private schools such as Sibetsamoya High, Little School Pre-School and Lingiwe Pre-school, were not given the authority to operate by the ministry. The ministry also listed 22 private schools that were shut down for undisclosed reasons.
