BUHLENI COMES ALIVE AS BUGANU FESTIVAL BEGINS

BUHLENI – If you are heading to Buhleni today, expect some surprises.

The rural town has a new look, particularly that streets have been constructed. The streets are also near the royal residence and the Buhleni Sports Ground which is the main arena for the Buganu Festival. Gordon Mbuli, who is the Town Clerk for Buhleni, said the streets were part of the ongoing development for the town. He said the Buganu Festival would bring along development.

Also, he said parking places had changed and that it will be on a first come first served basis. He said there would be other changes too but he did not give the details. He said each year, the place looked better. Other notable developments include security measures as all the forces were spotted in full action with soldiers seemingly taking the lead to ensure safety for emaSwati during the big day.
