SAPS VALIDATES OUR AKA MURDER SUSPECTS STORY
MBABANE – As exclusively revealed by the Times of Eswatini, the two South African nationals who were arrested in the country last Friday, are linked to the murder of South Africa Hip Hop artist Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.
In a press conference held last night, KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, gave the affirmation, putting to bed the speculation on social media around the matter. Forbes, popularly known by his stage name AKA, was gunned down in February last year on Florida Road in Durban, together with his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane.
This publication broke the story of the arrest of the accused persons from Durban, Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande (Nxele) and Malusi Dave Ndimande, who were arrested by officers of the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS), while hiding in a flat they rented at Zone 4 in Mbabane.
Initially, Mkhwanazi had denied any link of the arrest to the murder of AKA, but he confirmed and gave clarity on the issue last night. His reason for denying any links was that they wanted to keep everything under wraps until all six suspects were arrested. Mkhwanazi told the SA media that the two were part of six suspects who had all been arrested by the South African Police Service (SAPS) in connection with the murder, and four would be making their first court appearance tomorrow. He shared that they were still busy with the legal process to get the two suspects to South Africa to face the law.
