LISWATI MAN WANTED FOR SERIES OF MURDERS IN SA

MBABANE – A man believed to be a liSwati is wanted by the South African Police Service (SAPS) to assist them with information on a series of murder cases which were committed at Nkomazi and Matsulu B.

The man known as Thulani Mathousand is currently on the run and is believed to be hiding in the country at Lomahasha. This was confirmed by Captain Elijah Sithole from Matsulu Police Station, who stated that Thulani immediately escaped after allegedly committing the recent murder at Matsulu, where he allegedly killed his lover who was with her daughter. He said the deceased were found with multiple stab wounds in their bodies and their throats also slit open.

Mining

Sithole alleged that Thulani, who resided in Barberton, where he was allegedly involved in illegal mining, was in a love relationship with the woman aged 40 years. He alleged that the woman was in the company of her two children who were not fathered by the suspect, a boy and girl, who witnessed their mother’s alleged gruesome killing. However, he said the boy managed to escape the scene. He further alleged that the teenager was killed because she had witnessed the incident. Captain Sithole alleged that Thulani killed his lover after suspecting that he was cheating on him with another man.

According to Captain Sithole, the woman was at a tavern where he was spotted talking to another man and somebody in the same vicinity alerted the suspect. Sithole said the suspect left Barberton to Matsulu, where he found the woman and a fight ensued between the couple. He said the suspect allegedly had a girlfriend who was the mother of his children, who resided in Lomahasha, where he is believed to have fled to.  Sithole said the suspect was last spotted in Driekoppies, which makes them believe that he was hiding where the mother of his children resided. He further alleged that the mother of Thulani’s children who also once lived in SA, returned to her country of origin following the abusive relationship she was in.

Record

Sithole stated that they had come across Thulani’s previous record, which showed that he committed another murder at Nkomazi and was wanted for the crime as well. He said Thulani allegedly also killed a woman. Asked whether Thulani has been flagged as a wanted person, Sithole positively responded, adding that they will be roping in Interpol.
