WOMAN (20) HELD FOR MURDER OF MOZ BOYFRIEND
MANZINI – A 20-year-old woman was arrested for the murder of her Mozambican boyfriend.
She was arrested by the police on Friday, following the demise of her boyfriend, who was found dead at Nhlambeni. The Mozambique national was said to have been found with stab wounds by a passerby. According to sources, the couple had been having challenges in recent weeks, which escalated to constant fights. On the fateful day, the couple was said to have had an unresolved disagreement, which led to them engaging in a heated argument. It was claimed that hours later, the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood by a passerby at Nhlambeni. Sources claimed that the deceased had a single stab wound in the left side of his chest.
The arrest of the woman aged 20, follows another similar incident, where a 40-year-old male of Fairview was stabbed in the stomach with a sharp object while at Mathendele township in Nhlangano and his girlfriend was arrested. This incident happened on April 19 this year. It was said the male was rushed to Nhlangano Health Centre, where he was certified dead upon arrival, while when the police investigated the matter, they arrested the deceased’s girlfriend, who is aged 25 and hails from Galile. She was charged with murder.
Drinking
Meanwhile, according to sources, the duo was staying together in a rented flat that is a stone’s throw away from Emseni Bar. It was said the couple was earlier spotted at the drinking spot where they were enjoying drinks. It was alleged that they then started arguing which was when the alleged suspect went to their rented flat. Sources shared that they were later seen together and arguments ensued again. It was alleged that it was at their rented flat where the 25-year-old stabbed the man with a knife in the stomach.
