LUDZIDZIN – “Umlando usazowenzeka (history will continue).”

This was a promise made by the leader of the Nazareth Baptist Church, His Holiness Unyazi Lwezulu Shembe, when addressing members of the church and emaSwati who attended the first Sabbath Service held at Ludzidzini Royal Residence yesterday. Unyazi Lwezulu said as he mentioned that he was in the country to make history last year, many people could attest to what happened during his presence in the country.

Attest

“As I mentioned that I was in the country to make history last year, and many could attest to what happened while I was here. I will not mention what happened, but I know that those who witnessed it will live to tell their children and the future generations about it. I want to mention that the history that I was here to make continues,” he said. Worth noting is that many people, especially Facebook users, linked Unyazi Lwezulu’s visit to the country to the arrest of Thabo Kunene, who declared himself commander of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces, who claimed responsibility after the shooting and killing of members of the country’s security forces, and those they felt supported the monarchy during the unrest.

Kunene made the declaration when warning journalists against photographing him when he appeared at the High Court after his apprehension. The SISF also claimed responsibility for the burning and vandalism of property belonging to those who they felt supported the Tinkhundla System of Government. Those who heard Unyazi Lwezulu were heard asking; “Who is next to be arrested?” As reported in our sister publication, the Times SUNDAY, the leader of the church said his main concern during his visit this time was to urge the youth to respect their parents and country authorities in order to live longer and be able to take the country forward. Unyazi Lwezulu also prayed that God protects all enemies of Eswatini and strengthens the Monarch.
