JUDGMENT RESERVED IN TSC, MBONGWA CASE

MBABANE – Judge Zonke Magagula has reserved judgment in the review application filed by the TSC in its case against SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini.
The Teaching Service Commission (TSC) is seeking to review the Industrial Court’s decision to set aside Dlamini’s letter of dismissal and that his disciplinary hearing for absenteeism be reconvened. The matter was argued yesterday before Judge Magagula.Dlamini was represented by Lucky Howe, while Zweli Jele appeared for the TSC on behalf of the attorney general. At first, the TSC filed an appeal in the Industrial Court of Appeal. However, the commission withdrew the appeal in favour of a review application at the High Court. Concomitantly, the commission withdrew the application to stay the operation of the judgment of the Industrial Court pending the appeal that had been filed in the Industrial Court of Appeal.
In Part A of the application, the applicants are seeking an order reviewing and setting aside the entire judgment handed down by the Industrial Court March 21, 2024.
